Just wanted to thank you for suggesting the wifi range tweaking. i got into my router’s online interface and changed it from something you could consider “mixed” to a setting that adjusts per item connecting. Apparently I’ve been using my Wii on the pre-set “mixed” setting for 9 months then lost my connection entirely. After trying many other suggestions out there… this experimenting allowed it to connect once again! Yay (’cause i can’t locate my Wii warranty info right now and the Wii is our ONLY form of TV entertainment.)

The lauren is funny. Gave me a good chuckle.

Anyhow just bought a $25 bridgeable router so I can throw that into b node just for the wii. Hopefully it works, as the Wii dropping the connection fucking pisses me off. (Waiting for Lauren to tell me to clean up my words). /trolllllololol

My wii is a foot away from my router. All my laptops and computers connect fine, even mobiles. I go to play online and half the time processes are not successful or I lose connection. Thanks nintendo, for making a cheap product that can’t even stay connected to the wifi for a week straight, or play DVDs.

I’ve just solved my own problem! Turns out it was the new modem that i used.
Whatever you do, DO NOT use the Netgear DGN 1000 for online wii gameplay!

IT IS ABOSOLUTE CACK!!!

Help! Whilst playing mario kart wii against other players around the world i usually
only manage about two races before i get the “please wait” screen for several minutes, after that i am disconnected and sent back to the nintendo wfc menu, 1 on 1 games work fine but when there are 3 or more people in the race the connection is very, very unreliable.

Ok so i had an old linksys router and while i was playing b/o it would freqiently lose connection so i got this new linksys-cisco and i finally got it to work for about 3 hours and then it said “error code: 52232 unable to connect to the server” Please get back to me soon as i want to solve this problem quickly!
