Amazing video. Very interesting, relatively non-technical explanation of interactive web technologies and the power of crowd-sourcing the sorting of this vast amount of data.
Just the sheer volume of human data we are gathering is mind-blowing. I think we’re just beginning to scratch the surface of what can be done with it.
One recent example that comes to mind is Google Flu Trends. (http://www.google.org/flutrends/) Google is able to use search data to predict flu outbreaks up to two weeks faster than any previous method. Just imagine what else all this data can be used for. The world will never be the same.
