Homeward Bound: OH HELLZ YEAH!

I just spend the last week on vacation in the midwest with one of my best friends Jason Keller. We spend the time visiting a very sweet group of dudes.

We were scheduled to fly home Tuesday at 6:25 pm from Indiana, at least thats what I thought! I had looked at the itinerary wrong, and was looking at the time our CONNECTING flight was leaving from Texas to California. We missed our plane by 4 hours! Oops. So we were stuck in Indiana for another day until we could catch a flight the next morning.

We were staying with a friend who works in a tattoo shop, so we had been hanging around making friends with the other artists that worked there. It was a slow day, and everyone was giving me crap about making us miss our flight. We walked over to the corner store to get some drinks, when i saw a temporary tattoo machine, you know the kind you put the quarters in. As a joke, I said “I should get what ever comes out of this machine tattooed on me for real”. Lexie, one of the tattoo artists said “I will do it for free if you agree to get what ever comes out of this machine, as punishment for missing your flight”. I agreed, inserted my quarters and threw caution to the wind. what the hell, right? Its only going to be on me the rest of my life!

Luck was on my side, I got this sweet tattoo out of the machine!

I am a man of my word, so I went through with it! Check out the pics below.

This is the final product, its still healing. It turned out so good that it looked like a serious tattoo, so I had her free hand a speech bubble with a phrase that my friends suggested… “OH HELLZ YEAH!”

I will never miss another flight for as long as I live!

Thommy was leaving so we had a toga party

Thommy Green has become one of my best friends over the last 7 years. We have been through a lot, girl troubles, weddings, street fights, a band, travel across the US, church, matching tattoos, and all all other sorts of wacky mis-adventures. On Tuesday, Thommy and his wife Krissi left Redlands to move to Saltlake City. Sunday night after church we decided to throw a party for them before they left. we also decided to make it a special party… a toga party!

On monday I sent out one text message to a list of our friends. 8 hours and 30+ people later this was going on at my house.

please note that not alcohol or drugs were present, this was a monday night, and the party only had 8 hours of planning time…

there was much soda and party happening that night. to top it off, We watched a bootleg dvd of 300 during the party. good times. I love my friends, I love Redlands.

p.s. you never realize how many tattoos you and your friends have until you are all standing around wearing nothing but bed sheets.

Puffy Elbow

Oh yeah I almost forgot! I got tattooed on Saturday by Arron Funk again. We basically finished my full sleeve. We worked a lot in the elbow area. Yeah, it sucked. The color looks amazing, and I’m glad that its done, but my elbow is all swollen and puffy. It been almost 48 hours since I got tattooed, I hope the swelling goes down soon, and the color doesn’t fall out. I don’t want to do that again anytime soon.

Sick Ink Bro!

I have a lot of tattoos but I do not really like to get tattooed really. Don’t get me wrong I love having tattoos. It’s the whole process of getting them on that’s not so great. Yesterday Arron Funk started in on coloring his latest masterpiece that graces my body, and angel blowing a trumpet on the back of my arm (tricept to wrist). It is a fairly large piece. The thing about getting the back of your arm tattooed is that you have to sit all funny while you get ink drilled into your elbow and stuff. I got tattooed for a bit more then 2 hours before Aaron’s next appointment came in. I get the rest of the color filled in on the 18th. After that we have some fill work to do to connect all of the pieces, then we are going to work on my chest, then I am going to work more on my left leg. It looks like I still have a lot more time to server in a tattoo chair.

I wish that Ken did not live on the east coast so I could be into piercings more, instead of tattoos, and I could get to hang out what that guy.
