I get hurt alot, over the years I have taken pictures and documented most of my injuries. I don’t know why but I have. I haven’t gotten all of them, but this is a sizable snap shot of what I have been through since 2000. I never realized how many black eyes I have gotten from hardcore shows until I lined them all up. Early in 2007, I started to train Muay Thai (Full contact Thai kick boxing). I figure I will get a few injuries from that also, with my track record. So here I am on display… I present my mangled body for your viewing pleasure

04/12/2008 :
At a muay thai demo at the university of redlands, I was doing some pad work. The mats were on grass, and started to walk away from each other, creating a gap. I stepped into that gap, and rolled my ankle hard. The Dr’s say I’m a freak of nature and that my ankle should have snapped, instead I dislocated my calcaneus (heel bone), caused major soft tissue damage, and fractured some of the smaller bones in my foot. I have to have surgery, where they are going to realign my heel and ankle, then screw it all together. I get to be in a cast for 3 months. Good times. This picture was taken 4 days after I got hurt.
12/02/2007 :
At an MMA expo, I was doing a demonstration of muay thai knee strikes. My Friend “Josh Also” was my pad man. I pushed him up against the robes to do a flying knee, but came up a bit short. I hit him full force in the cup. Thai cups are made of 1/8 inch steel. My knee took more damage then he did. Good thing he had a cup on though. My knee was destroyed, and bruised for about a week afterwards.

Another muay thai injury from sparing. I think the cut is from the head gear. Again, this looks worse then it is.. then again it never feels awesome to be punched in the face, and kicked in the ribs.

I forgot to put sun screen on my feet at the notpop bonfire 2007. 10 hours on the dun will cook your feet.

A muay thai injury from sparing. Thats my left hip, and that was from one knee while in a clinch. It looks worse then it felt.

After my nose surgery to correct my broken nose. I have to wear the stupid nose cast for a week. Being able to breath is better then looking dumb though. It most likely wont be my last broken nose… I’m a Muay Thai fighter… it happens.

Three days after breaking my nose, the Dr looked at it and said I needed surgery for sure.

I caught an elbow in the nose while dancing for Sleeping Giant at oasis church in Redlands. I knew my nose was broke big time. I went to the ER and waited for 12 hours and paid them $500 so they could tell me it was broken in 3 places and I would have to wait 3 days to go to the nose doctor that did my last nose surgery. Look at the mean curve in my nose! I could smell around corners if my nostril wasn’t collapsed!

I broke my fingertip when I got it caught under a recliner chair at my moms house. The Drs couldn’t do anything for it. My finger is a little crooked now. Can you guess which finger is hurt?

I burned the piss out of my hand when I set it on top of the hot motor cover of a pressure washer I had rented. It burnt a sweet philips head screw pattern it my hand, it only lasted a few weeks though.

I was walking to get the mail in my Apt complex when I was completely blind sided when I walked into the bike rack hanging off the back of this truck. It about knocked my teeth out. I was seconds away from smashing the windows out of the truck when Amy stopped me.

My buddy Matt Stedman, in soccer cleats run up my back at a xDEATHSTARx show @ oasis church in Redlands. It didn’t really hurt, it rust looked gnarly.

After years of not being able to breath right, I see am ear/nose/throat doctor who says i have a very deviated septum, and my sinuses are impacted. I had surgery to correct both of these problems. It sucked a whole lot, but it was life changing. I would do it again in a second. If given the chance. The good far out weighs the bad.

Playing a going away show for Teddy, I got hit in the eye with the head of Kevin’s bass guitar in the first 15 seconds of the set, one of the tuning pegs cut my cheek. It was seriously the funnest show I have ever played.

We played a show with Until The End in San Diego at the Epicenter. I got kicked in the face while moshing for Sinai Beach. From what I am told, I got knocked out with my eyes wide open. I came in and out of consciousness for over an hour, each time asking where I was and what happened. I dont remember that night at all. I lost about 4 hours of memory. It was one of the hardest hits I have ever taken. I don’t even remember this picture being taken. People say I was talking to them but in a made up language most of the night. My buddy Kanan broke his arm at that show also.

Two days after getting hit with brass knuckles. Both of my eyes are open if you can believe it or not.
03/01/2003 :
Long story short, A few of us got into a brawl at the Showcase Threatre in Corona during 25 ta Life. One of the guys was butt hurt, waited out side for me, and had hiw cousin (who was double my weight) hit me with a pair of brass knuckles. I had to go to the hospital. The Drs thought I was going to need re constructive surgery, but the CAT scan on my head showed that my eye socket and cheek weren’t broken. A went home with 5 stiches in my eyelid.

I was at the Glasshouse in pomona Ca watching From Autumn to Ashes with Ken. I was moshing, fell, broke open my previously hurt elbow. Good thing I had a notPop flyer on hand for the photo opp.

My friends and I were at a show in Yucaipa, watching Bound in blood play. I was dancing, and so was Chris Rodney. He donkey kicked me so hard in the stomach, I puked and had a foot shaped bruise. That was a really fun show. We wrecked that place.

Hatebreed’s return to the westcoast in several years. They played at glasshouse. In the second to the last song, I got hit while dancing and broke my nose. It wasn’t bad though, just a LOT of blood.

I fell snowboarding at snow valley. Some stupid girl was sitting on the landing of the ramp. I tried to dodge her at the last second, only to go off the ramp and to land face first into the ice. My goggle cut me up pretty good. My blood on the ice reminded me of a snow cone.

link 80, and moshing when I caught a fist from a windwill into my face. Good times

I fell at the brick yard skate park so hard I got a black eye! I was doing soul to sweatstance to 270 back in on the miniramp. I clipped my left skate on the 270 spin and fell 6 feet to my face… ouch! I’m glad I was wearing my helmet

I was at the vans skate park in Ontarion Ca, with my friend Christian. I was skating on the mini ramp. I was doing a sweet-stance grind, and decided to drop back in fakie. I slipped out and hit my chin on the ramp. this was at 8:30pm. My mom took me to the hospital. By 4am I had 4 stitches in my chin….I guess that the price of being cool

I cut my thumb to the bone at the warped tour in San Diego during the might might bosstones. I cut my thumb on a cheap pair of sunglasses that broke in my back pack during MXPX. I never went to the Dr for it. I have a gnarly scar that still bothers me some times when I hit it.

The day after my chest surgery, I waxed my car. now I know why the Dr’s say don’t go in the sun when you are on antibiotics

The doctors thought I had breast cancer, so they removed my entired right breast. Technically is was a mastectomy. I got a sweet scare out of the deal, you cant see it now because of my tattoo.
